essential pathways
Agape is a dedicated non-governmental, non-profit, and non-partisan humanitarian organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our mission is rooted in compassion, service, and the unwavering commitment to supporting displaced individuals and vulnerable communities. Recognizing the urgent needs of refugees who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, persecution, famine, the climate crisis, and other devastating circumstances, we work tirelessly to provide assistance that fosters stability, dignity, and hope.
In addition to our headquarters in Pittsburgh, Agape operates a critical field office within the refugee resettlement camps in Uganda and Juba, South Sudan. These locations have been carefully chosen due to the overwhelming need for humanitarian intervention, as they host large populations of displaced individuals who have endured severe hardships. By maintaining a presence on the ground, we are able to directly assess the needs of refugees, collaborate with local organizations, and implement sustainable programs that address both immediate and long-term challenges.
Our overarching strategy equips refugees with the fundamental tools necessary to rebuild their lives and achieve self-sufficiency.
